Dinner and a Coupon

I'd been to NYC many times before moving here a few months ago.  But it was always on the ever wonderful per diem dime.  It kinda felt like I was living someone else life - staying in hotels that are WAY too posh for me and dining at restaurants FAR above my typical meal price point 3 times a day.  It's nice, but not reality.

So when we moved here I prepared myself to deal with $1 a slice pizzerias and their questionable inspection grades.  But thanks to amazing sites like Living Social, Groupon, 8 Coupons, and my favorite - Scout Mob - we still get to enjoy nice meals all the time.
Take last night... Mandy and I dined at Gusto, an Italian restaurant in the West Village.  Not a place I would typical visit on a random weeknight.  However, Scout Mob made it possible with a 50% off coupon.  We both had a glass of NICE wine, salad and pasta for $20 each (before tip).   Pretty amazing for the quality of food.  Oh, and we had a perfect little table outside.

They have these for all kinds of great restaurants.  Just earlier this week, Shane and I used another one at Pop Pub.  We had burgers and beers for $17 with our 50% off coupon.

Course I also love the coupons for services or classes.  Just finished a group of pilates classes on the reformer machine for like $12 a class.   So happy to live in this city - WITH coupons!
